Analysis of May 2020.

Of course, due to the virus, there were no stamps fairs again this month, so all my income was via the post or internet. On the other hand, everyone is stuck at home, so lots of nice collectors decided to improve their collections. That has included many customers who I would normally see at fairs. It has to be said, fairs are unlikely to start again for months and the landscape will be very different then. I will not be doing so many fairs.

Postal sales hit a new high during May. I have been wearing my tweezers to the bone keeping up with demand. Not that I am complaining! The number of orders was well up on March, the previous record. Commonwealth continued to be the top selling area with demand for all periods, QV-QE2. Australia and Canada were the top two selling individual countries, again with more orders than before. Other countries of note were GB, Ireland, New Zealand, USA, Monaco and Portuguese Colonies. All the same, most countries contributed and it was pleasing to see the various aspects of Germany continue to be sought after.
